GEVES welcomes AfSTA

GEVES welcomed Mr Kennedy Mangwana, Technical Director of AfSTA (African Seed Trade Association).

Organised by SEMAE, this visit provided an opportunity to present the role and missions of GEVES, both in variety trials for the registration of new varieties in the National Catalogue or their protection through plant variety rights, and in the assessment of seed quality for the certification of seed lots.

The technical discussions were fruitful and are likely to lead to further collaboration and cooperation in the future in support of agricultural development.
