Varietal creation for organic vegetable species

This was the theme of the October 6th and 7th meeting for the Vegetable Section from the French Breeders’ Association.

The afternoon of October 6th was an opportunity to tack stock of the regulatory evolutions resulting from the RUE 2018/848 regulation, to discuss in front of DUS trials of population varieties at the GEVES station in Brion and then to discover the production and selection activities of an organic seed producer.

On the morning of October 7th, at the Agro Angers Institute, presentations by breeders and prescribers involved in organic agriculture illustrated the specific needs of organic seeds and the state of research to respond to them.

All the presentations will soon be available on the ASF website.
