Publication of the CTPS Scientific Committee report “Which varieties for agroecology?”

The CTPS Scientific Committee’s referral report on variety testing for agroecology has just been published. Based on scientific and technical literature, it sheds light on what the agroecological transition implies in terms of species, varieties and seeds.

This referral report for the CTPS Plenary Committee will contribute to the SPAD2 plan, which was published in November 2021 by the Ministry of Agriculture. It is a valuable contribution to the reflection on the future of agriculture, the necessary evolution of the range of varieties available, and the role of the CTPS for the orientation and evaluation of genetic progress.
