Bilateral agreement with Italy for Cynara DUS (artichokes & cardoons)

In February 2022, a new international DUS cooperation agreement  was signed between GEVES and the Italian examination office CREA DC (Research Centre for Plant Protection and Certification). This agreement concerns the carrying out of DUS tests for the species Cynara cardunculus L. (artichokes and cardoons) which will now be delegated to the Italian Office.

This agreement completes a list of existing bilateral agreements between GEVES and several other EU offices, which cooperate in DUS testing. The benefits of cooperation between examination offices include, for example, reducing time and costs associated with DUS testing and the having access to specialised resources not available to the delegating office.
