BioGEVES is designated as a NRL for GMO detection in maize (seed) and soya, rapeseed and flax (seed and vegetative parts).
Missions and mandate
BioGEVES is designated as a NRL for GMO detection in maize (seed) and soya, rapeseed and flax (seed and vegetative parts) by decree of 19 October 2011.
The detection and quantification of GMOs is carried out on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture in accordance with methods published by the European Union Reference Laboratory for GM Food and Feed.
As a National Reference Laboratory, BioGEVES is part of the European Network of GMO Laboratories and its working groups.
