GEVES & ANSES awarded “Best Poster” at International Conference on GMO Analysis and New Genomic Techniques in Berlin

GEVES participated in the International Conference on GMO Analysis and New Genomic Techniques in Berlin on 14th – 17th March, organised by the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung, BfR) together with several institutes*. In the context of the fast evolution of technologies, the conference provided a perfect occasion to discuss the challenges of GMO detection. During three days scientific and technical presentations were made on the identification and traceability of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and the rapidly developing tools around DNA-based detection methods. This conference was also the occasion to think about the possibilities to organise collaborations between laboratories involved in the detection of GMOs and networking among regions. GEVES presented its research work in collaboration with LSV-ANSES on a new method to detect mutations. This presentation received the best poster award at the conference: Characterization of SNP mutations in herbicide tolerant rapeseed varieties.
